In Conclusion
Thank you again for taking the time to learn more about me. If I am chosen as an adoptive parent, I promise to give a child everything I have to offer – love, acceptance and nurturing, a healthy lifestyle, a great education, and a strong support network of family and friends.
I hope that someday we will be able to meet and stay in contact throughout the child’s life. Regardless of the level of openness that you prefer, I will always...
Hobbies and Interests
I believe that to be a whole person, you must have a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I have an artistic side and like to do crafts to unwind. It is important to stay healthy by eating well and staying active. My friends joke about my desire to eat organic, whole foods, but I think eating healthy is important for a balanced life.
My neighborhood may open a community garden soon, and I look forward to gardening with a child. We can play in the...
My Friends
My desire to have loyal and close relationships has blessed me with close friendships. Since my family lives in a different geographic region, my strong network of friends here in D.C. are more like my sisters. We support each other through everything. We get together frequently to spend an afternoon at a nearby restaurant, park, or church. We even have weekly meals together. They can’t wait to bake special birthday treats for a little one and be there for every milestone. ...
My Family
My immediate family includes my mom, two older brothers, their wives and kids, and my cousin and his spouse, most of whom live in Arizona. My late father, who passed away in 2020, is from Connecticut, where I was born and raised.
I know a lot about my roots, and it is important to me to help a...
My Community
My neighborhood is perfect for a child to enjoy outdoor activities while having easy access to the city. Children frequently make good use of the amenities offered in my neighborhood—two large pools, a community clubhouse, tennis courts, multi-purpose courts, playgrounds, soccer fields, and several open play areas. The recreation facilities are connected through a path system that encourages kids to bike and hike and is perfect for enjoying an evening walk....
My Home
I had a few reasons for buying my first home, but the primary reason was to have enough room to grow my family through adoption. I own a three-bedroom, two-bath condominium. It has an open floor plan, no stairs, and is on the ground level. I’ve worked to ensure that my home is prepared to be a safe environment for a child. I even have one spare room that I affectionately call “the baby’s room”. While it is currently furnished with a guest bed, it anxiously awaits a permanent resident. ...
My Journey to Adoption
Family is important to me, and I have wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. God placed it on my heart long ago to become an adoptive mother. While the right man has not yet come along to share my journey through life, I am content to wait for a man who will be a good husband and father. In the meantime, I am so excited about the possibility of sharing family life with a child surrounded by a strong support network of family and friends.

About Me
Hello,
Thank you for reading my profile. You may not know me, but I often think of you, and the time and energy you are spending making this difficult and brave decision. I pray you will have peace in your heart knowing that making an adoption plan with the person or couple of your choosing does not mean your child will never know you, or your selflessness. They will know that your decision is the ultimate act of love....
